Cora is originally from Sun Prairie, WI and will receive her B.S. in chemistry from UW-La Crosse in 2025. She is attending UW-Madison for the summer as part of the Chemistry REU Program. In her research at UW-La Crosse, she currently works under Dr. Aric Opdahl analyzing DNA-binding surface interactions with gold nanoparticles. Her favorite things about being in Madison for the summer are going for runs by Lake Mendota and eating food from the farmer’s market.

B.S, University of Wisconsin Madison, Expected 2025

Jacob is a Chemical engineering major at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He joined the Boydston research group in spring of 2023 with the IHAPI team working on a new 3D printing system. Outside of research Jacob is also a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) were he spent a year as the group’s outreach chair. Jacob has also spent time working with Pregis and Amcor, both global packaging companies. Jacob is currently pursuing a career in the flexible packaging industry. In his free time, he likes being active, cooking, being with friends, and to spend time in nature.

Ana is a Chemistry major at the University of Madison Wisconsin and is pursuing a certificate in African Cultural Studies. She joined the Boydston Research Group in Fall 2023 characterizing and synthesizing photoresin containing piezoelectric particles. In addition to her research, she also is a Lab Assistant for general chemistry courses at UW Madison. She hopes to use her experience for research after graduating with her bachelors in 2025. In her free time, you can find Ana at the Nicholas Recreational Center or studying in the new chemistry building!
